The Senior Building Controls Technician position at The Building People is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building control systems. This includes managing projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing technical support to building managers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building control systems
• Manage projects from design through completion, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client specifications
• Provide technical support to building managers and facility staff
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of building control systems to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other contractors to ensure seamless integration of building control systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building controls or related field
• Proficiency in building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC/R systems
• Knowledge of energy management systems and sustainable building practices
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
