Senior Audit Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Audit Manager with a strong background in public accounting assurance to lead a high-volume engagement portfolio, oversee audit teams, maintain key client relationships, and drive business development in a hybrid role based in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and review multiple concurrent audit and assurance engagements.
• Oversee risk assessments, audit objectives, testing, internal controls, workpapers, and final reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAGAS/Yellow Book and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate controls related to fraud, waste, and abuse.
• Oversee specialized compliance engagements, including Florida Education Finance Program (FEFP) audits when applicable.
• Manage engagement budgets, staffing, deadlines, and profitability.
• Serve as a key client contact and resolve complex issues.
• Develop new business through referrals, networking, proposals, and client relationships.
• Mentor and develop audit professionals while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Leverage data analytics, automation, and technology to improve audit efficiency.

Requirements

• Active Florida CPA license or actively working toward licensure.
• 10+ years of public accounting assurance experience.
• Proven ability to manage a high engagement volume, not solely a few large audits.
• Demonstrated success in business development, referrals, networking, and client growth.
• Strong audit, internal control, risk assessment, and compliance expertise.
• Excellent client communication and leadership skills.
• Strong Yellow Book/GAGAS experience.
