Senior Associate Director of Admissions
Siena University is seeking a senior enrollment leader to drive undergraduate enrollment growth within its highest-priority recruitment market. This role serves as the lead recruiter for the Capital Region, owning territory performance from inquiry through enrollment and achieving ambitious application, admit, and enrollment goals.

The Senior Associate Director of Admissions combines a consultative sales mindset with exceptional relationship-building skills, using thoughtful conversations, disciplined follow-up, and data-informed decision making to help students discover why Siena is the right fit. Beyond leading one of Siena's most strategic territories, this role serves as a coach and mentor to the admissions team, elevating recruitment performance through leadership and best-practice sharing. Additional management responsibilities, including leading the admissions team, may be included or evolve over time.
Responsibilities
- Own the recruitment strategy and enrollment performance for Siena University's Capital Region territory, with accountability for application, admission, and enrollment results.
- Build, manage, and continuously strengthen a high-performing recruitment pipeline from inquiry through enrollment using personalized outreach, disciplined follow-up, and strategic relationship management.
- Develop and execute territory strategies that increase market share, improve conversion rates, and consistently exceed enrollment goals.
- Monitor territory performance and conversion metrics, using data to identify opportunities, adjust strategy, and improve results throughout the recruitment cycle.
- Build trusted relationships with prospective students, families, school counselors, community organizations, and other key influencers.
- Conduct compelling one-on-one and group conversations that uncover student goals, address concerns, and help students make confident enrollment decisions.
- Represent Siena University at high schools, college fairs, counselor programs, community events, and on-campus recruitment programs.
- Communicate Siena University's distinctive value proposition—including exceptional career outcomes, meaningful faculty mentorship, hands-on experiences, and a supportive community—and connect those strengths to each student's goals and aspirations.
- Utilize Slate, EnrollML, and other enrollment technologies to execute personalized communications, manage recruitment activity, and maximize engagement throughout the enrollment funnel.
- Review undergraduate admissions applications and provide recommendations consistent with institutional admissions standards.
- Model best-in-class territory management, consultative sales techniques, and relationship-building for the admissions team.
- Coach admissions counselors and student ambassadors on outreach strategies, storytelling, follow-up, objection handling, and converting interest into enrollment.
- Lead assigned strategic initiatives, recruitment projects, market segments, or application review processes that advance departmental goals.
- Collaborate closely with Admissions, Financial Aid, Marketing, Athletics, Academic Affairs, and Student Affairs to deliver a coordinated enrollment experience.
- Participate in evening and weekend recruitment events throughout the admissions cycle.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in undergraduate admissions, consultative sales, territory management, account management, business development, or another relationship-driven, performance-oriented profession.
- Demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding measurable enrollment, sales, or business development goals.
- Experience successfully managing a recruitment territory, customer portfolio, or geographic market with accountability for measurable performance outcomes.
- Demonstrated success leveraging CRM platforms (e.g., Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) to build and manage pipelines, execute personalized outreach, and improve conversion outcomes.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through consultative conversations and build lasting relationships with prospective students, families, and key partners.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and performance metrics to inform territory strategy and improve results.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to independently manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and positively influence colleagues in a collaborative environment.
- High degree of initiative, accountability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technology platforms.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel and work evenings and weekends throughout the recruitment cycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated record of consistently exceeding enrollment, sales, or business development goals.
- Experience using data to identify growth opportunities and improve conversion performance.
- Spanish language proficiency.

Pay
Salary: $70,000 (good faith estimate at the time of posting).
