About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate Contract Manager at HealthTrust, part of HCA Healthcare. This role supports the negotiation of industry leading national agreements for the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO).
Responsibilities
- Support the negotiation of industry leading national agreements for the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO)
- Ensure best in class industry pricing and contract terms and conditions
- Develop the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for professional advancement within the strategic sourcing department or the GPO
- Manage the Core GPOs Portfolio to include Laboratory, Nursing, Surgery and/or Medical Devices
- Train and assist in the development of associate contract managers on the team
- Follow standard practices and policies in analyzing situations with data in order to solve a range of straightforward problems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required (Supply Chain, Healthcare, Business, Finance preferred)
- 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience (i.e. strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract management, supply chain operations, materials management, purchasing, financial analysis preferred)
- Healthcare knowledge is preferred

- Sourcing Management: Under general supervision, the individual may be responsible for the sourcing process for assigned projects including: market research, bid preparation, RFI/RFP, contract negotiations, financial proposal supplier relationship, essential communications, customer/board member interactions, alignment of resources during process and contract launch.
- Category strategies and final awards must be presented and validated by customer-led Advisory Boards and/or a customer-led, executive-level Supply Chain Board; individual's board presentations must be well prepared, concise, and articulated clearly
- Contract Management: Assist in creation of new/renewal contracts or project sourcing events (BPMs) in CLM
- Create contract amendments to include extensions, assignments, minor cosmetic changes
- Lead supplier assignment process for monthly mergers and acquisitions meeting
- Utilize DocuSign for execution of amendments or agreements
- Review of weekly member communications against newly published contract summary pages
- Supplier Resiliency Management: Individual will act as the subject matter expert on supply dashboards and EverStream Analytics tool
- Work directly with suppliers and portfolio director to address supply disruptions
- Review of disruptions against what has been published in supply disruption portal (member portal)
- Utilization of EverStream to communicate potential supply issues and mitigation tactics
- Policies & Procedures: Individual will oversee and manage the Strategic Sourcing team room
- Maintain timely achievement of all assigned sourcing initiatives ensuring activities adhere to all established policies and procedures and standards of business conduct
- Customer Service: Maintain strong customer relationships and build trust and respect by consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Customers are internal and external.
