Senior Contract Manager
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – two to three days per week in the NTT DATA office, with onsite customer meetings as needed)
About the role
NTT DATA is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Contract Manager with government contractor, private cloud, and customer-facing delivery experience. The role will support strategic contract execution, private cloud service delivery, customer engagement, financial and operational tracking, and alignment with public sector contract requirements. The Senior Contract Manager will work closely with the Account Manager and the customer to maintain alignment on priorities, contract performance, service expectations, risks, and renewal planning. This role serves as a player/coach, helping establish contractual alignment, delivery governance, and contract management discipline across the professional services team. The position reports directly to the Account Sr. Director.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, oversight, and management of customer-facing private cloud and public sector contract delivery to ensure performance against contract, service, schedule, cost, risk, and project requirements.
- Manage all aspects of contract management from planning through execution while working closely with the Account Manager, customer, stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams to achieve program goals and contract objectives.
- Monitor and manage activities throughout the contract lifecycle, including deliverables, change orders, contract modifications, renewals, extensions, warranty obligations, licensing requirements, and compliance milestones.
- Analyze business, operational, and customer requirements and translate them into actionable contract delivery plans, implementation activities, and measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional interactions with NTT DATA teams, including Product Management, Customer Support, Cloud Operations, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Delivery Operations, to drive successful private cloud contract delivery.
- Plan and facilitate weekly, monthly, and quarterly leadership reviews focused on contract status, private cloud service performance, schedule, cost, risk, licensing, warranty, renewal, and extension readiness.
- Coach project leaders and delivery teams on contract management fundamentals, government contractor expectations, private cloud delivery governance, customer communications, and contract compliance practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working within public sector, state and local government, or federal government services environments.
- 5+ years of public sector or government contractor IT program, contract, or delivery management experience with a proven record of success working across teams, vendors, and multiple stakeholder groups.
- 5+ years of direct client engagement experience supporting end-to-end implementations, contract delivery, renewals, service governance, and customer executive communications.
- 7+ years of experience interpreting trends, risks, and data to develop effective strategies that support contract performance, private cloud delivery, renewal planning, warranty tracking, and program objectives.
- 5+ years of customer-facing experience working with third-party vendors, licensing partners, warranty providers, and contract stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Contract Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience with SaaS, Microsoft technologies, private cloud, hybrid cloud, cloud operations, or managed services environments.
- Strong knowledge and experience with government contracts, change order processes, contract modifications, licensing, warranties, renewals, and extension tracking.
- Demonstrated understanding of SDLC, project management, product implementation methodologies, cloud operations, and private cloud service delivery.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as needed for customer, contract, or delivery requirements.

- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, executive engagement, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, manage shifting priorities, and communicate risks, deadlines, and renewal actions clearly and professionally.
- Proficient with Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and related reporting or tracking tools.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and maintain accurate contract, licensing, warranty, renewal, and extension records.
Qualifications
Six Sigma, ITIL, PMP, contract management, cloud, or other relevant certifications preferred.
Pay
The starting pay range for this role is $102,625 - $171,125 across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on the candidate’s work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
