Job Title: Senior Architect Manager Job Description The Senior Architect Manager will lead and contribute to all phases of the architectural design process, from schematic design through construction documentation, under the guidance of associates and principals. This role involves preparing and coordinating design and construction documents in AutoCAD, managing multi-person project teams, and ensuring that project schedules, deliverables, and quality standards are consistently met. Responsibilities Participate in and lead all phases of the design process, including schematic design, design development, and construction document production.Prepare schematic design drawings and design development drawings that clearly communicate design intent and technical requirements.Produce and coordinate detailed construction documents in AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.Manage multi-person project teams, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring that project milestones and deliverables are met on schedule.Oversee architectural project management activities, including managing project schedules, deliverables, and budgets as appropriate.Coordinate with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment on design goals, technical requirements, and project expectations.Perform and review code analysis, with a focus on New Jersey Building Code, to ensure design and documentation comply with permitting and regulatory requirements.Apply a strong understanding of permitting processes and regulatory requirements to support project approvals and construction readiness.Utilize knowledge of commercial steel and concrete slab construction (non–wood framing) in the development of design and construction documents.Lead and mentor junior staff, including delegating work, providing feedback, and supporting the professional development of designers and drafters.Coordinate workloads across multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and resources to maintain a fast-paced, efficient project environment.Contribute to construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and supporting field-related questions as needed.Support marketing efforts and office administration activities as assigned, contributing to proposals, presentations, and general office operations.Engage in educational design projects, including K–12 and higher education facilities, as well as healthcare and commercial building projects.Produce high-quality architectural design and drafting work that reflects strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to design excellence.Collaborate effectively within project teams and with firm leadership, participating in meetings where partners and associates are actively involved.Demonstrate initiative by taking ownership of assigned tasks, proactively identifying issues, and contributing ideas to improve project processes and outcomes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Ewing, NJ. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
