Senior Accounting Manager

About the role
Seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for our outsourced services division, VendorSync. This division provides outsourced management of contingent workforce vendors for public school districts. In this role, you will work directly with the company's senior financial executives and operational leaders within the VendorSync Division to build out this new service offering. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work comfortably under pressure to deliver on tight deadlines. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the financial system within the division and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain all financial transactions for the VendorSync Division
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
- Oversee weekly client invoicing and posting of invoices to the General Ledger
- Oversee cash management and posting payments
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records, and other financial data as assigned
- Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and immediate availability
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Assist with other accounting projects
Requirements
- Proven experience in similar accounting roles
- Excellent organizing abilities and analytical acumen
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- BS/BA in accounting, finance, or relevant field
Skills
- Advanced-level Excel user, with expertise in VLOOKUP and Pivot tables
- Proficient technical software skills; comfortable toggling between multiple systems throughout the day
- Comfortable "living in the numbers"
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g., SAP)
