Volvo Financial Services provides a full range of financial services for the construction equipment, truck and bus industries. The Accounting Analyst Senior is responsible for understanding and performing duties for accounts receivable/cash application and some accounts payable processes. This position reports to the Manager of Cash Applications and will be located at the VFS office in Greensboro, NC, USA.
Responsibilities
- Post daily cash receipts, which include lockbox, wire, speed pay and ACH, within established deadlines and with accuracy.
- Balance daily cash.
- Analyze customer payment history upon request by other departments.
- Process customer refunds.
- Complete internal task requests with speed and accuracy.
- Develop, issue and file the annual Form 1099s prior to IRS deadlines.
- Maintain sound internal controls and implement new controls, as needed, to comply with company policies and procedures.
- Process setup of and changes to third party vendors of Volvo Financial Services.
- Respond to internal and external customer requests to meet their needs and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Actively participate in internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate data to auditors.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Other responsibilities and activities as requested by management.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting or related field is preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in cash application or accounts payable, preferably in the financial services industry.
Skills
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast paced, demanding environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism, including verbal and non-verbal communications, as well as emotional intelligence.
- Sound business judgment and decision making abilities.
- Expert in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel and Power BI a plus.
- Innovative problem solving, research and analytical skills.
- Strong evidence of personal initiative, willingness to learn systems and independently work with other departments to resolve issues.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and 10-Key accuracy.
- Ability and desire to work within and in support of a team environment, including expert relationship development skills.
- Strong knowledge of the financial services industry within a large multi-national corporation.
- English is essential.
Pay
For this position, the base pay is set at $54,000.00 - $66,000.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
