Responsibilities
- Calculate product revenues and associated gas purchase costs, and record all transactions in the accounting system to ensure accurate gross margins for assigned gas processing plants.
- Analyze operational reports and collaborate with the commercial group to resolve questions and issues related to revenue and cost of sales for assigned facilities.
- Review new contracts and verify the setup of appropriate calculations to generate monthly gas purchase statements and financial settlements in compliance with contract terms.
- Analyze account balances and gross margin account activity at month-end, and prepare account reconciliations, margin analysis, and SOX documentation.
- Actively participate in special projects as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of public accounting or corporate accounting experience.
- Prior energy industry experience.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of operating agreements and gas processing/purchase contracts.
- Experience in midstream gas accounting is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Financials and Waterfield settlement systems.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced team environment with limited supervision.
