About the role

Senior ABL Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for identifying and pursuing ABL opportunities, structuring loans, and supporting clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop prospective new ABL business through active calling and referrals
  • Complete preliminary prospect analysis and vetting
  • Recommend loan structures and terms to ABL team
  • Collaborate with ABL underwriter on initial screening of opportunities
  • Secure approval from Credit for term sheet issuance
  • Prepare and present term sheets to prospects
  • Facilitate loan documentation and ensure successful loan origination
  • Participate in ABL-related professional associations
  • Participate in compliance training and attend relevant meetings and seminars

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in ABL
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Deep knowledge of working capital solutions and related products
  • Client-facing experience at C-suite level with proven relationship-building skills
  • Strong ABL credit skills and ability to apply knowledge in deal structuring and credit recommendations
  • Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, up to 50% travel
