SEMINARI DE BIBLIOGRAFIA INFANTIL I JUVENIL "QUINS LLIBRES"
About the role
The Children's and Youth Bibliography Seminar at Rosa Sensat is a working group of around twenty professionals from various disciplines (librarians, educators, teachers, and professors) who meet weekly at the association's library. The group reads, evaluates, classifies, and recommends new children's and youth publications based on literary and/or scientific quality.
The selected titles, categorized by age and type with accompanying comments, are periodically published in a catalog. They also form part of the curated selection available on the digital bookstore quinsllibres.org. Since its inception in the 1960s, the seminar has built a database of over twenty thousand titles.
Responsibilities
- Read and evaluate new children's and youth publications.
- Classify titles by age and typology with detailed comments.
- Recommend high-quality literary and scientific books.
- Contribute to the periodic publication of a curated catalog.
- Support the selection of books for the digital bookstore quinsllibres.org.
