About the role

Assists the Security Shift Manager with the day-to-day operation of the security department.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Manager in training, discipline, and evaluation of security department employees.
• Will assist in the planning of the security department's needs and goals, and the methodology to employ to ensure success.
• All other duties that may be assigned to him/her by the director or Manager of Security.
• Will run and maintain a scheduled shift of subordinates.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Prior Security, Military or Supervisor experience a plus.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Must be able to stand/walk/sit for extended periods.
• May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
• Must be at least 21.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Requirements

• Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively.
• Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
• Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period.
• Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment.
