About the role

Responsible for precise and proper mixing, controlling, dispensing, preparing and serving of a variety of beverages, liquors, beers and fine wines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of coolers, bar equipment, glassware, decanters and any other service items associated with beverage service.
• Explain and sell all types of beverages to bar patrons by exceeding and anticipating guests’ expectations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One year bartending experience or degree from accredited bartender school preferred.
• Proven customer service abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good grasp of the English language.
• Ability to operate cash register (POS system).
• Knowledge and ability to mix a variety of cocktails.
• Extensive product knowledge of liquor, beer and wine; required to continue expanding that knowledge as determined by management.
• Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, stoop, climb, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to stand/walk/sit for extended periods.
• May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
• Must be at least 21.
• Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing.
• Ability to pass a background investigation.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively.
• Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
• Ability to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period.
• Ability to work in a smoking and pet‑friendly environment.
