About the role

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the professional operation, administration, profitability, and quality assurance of uniformed services for a client’s site. This role involves ensuring a safe and secure environment for visitors and employees, monitoring security systems, and responding to security incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the security function on-site, including staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for all Allied Universal® personnel assigned to the site.
  • Ensure contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel are met.
  • Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement designated by AUS.
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance during assigned shifts.
  • Perform operations and related functions such as payroll, review and maintain incident reports, and assist in the preparation of security surveys and post orders.
  • Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under direct supervision.
  • Respond to client requests and make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
  • Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties.
  • Make decisions on disciplinary actions or commendations pertaining to security personnel.
  • Make productivity and cost-reduction recommendations to management.
  • Recommend physical security surveys and post orders.
  • Hiring and training: Interview, hire, and train security staff, including new hires and current staff on topics such as workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures, and safety and security.
  • Scheduling: Oversee daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff.
  • Performance monitoring: Conduct daily briefings and accompany guards on patrols to assess performance and verify adherence to security rules.
  • Incident response: Respond to incidents, monitor CCTV and security systems, and perform regular patrols to identify potential breaches.
  • Liaison: Work with the on-site manager and staff to provide advice and receive feedback.
  • Policies and procedures: Establish and carry out policies and procedures required by the organization.
  • Record keeping: Maintain diligent records to document all security-related instances.
  • Training programs: Collaborate with security managers to create training programs for all security guards.
  • Continuous training: Provide ongoing training for current equipment or new technology.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing.
  • Must be able to pass a state licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle.
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard.
    • Service in Auxiliary Police or Police Cadets.
    • Minimum of one year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in a security-related industry.
    • Associate's degree or higher in any discipline.
  • Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years if armed).
  • Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and active listening skills.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to compile, sort, and interpret data.
  • Research, investigate, and compile information.
  • Mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.
  • Write informatively, clearly, and accurately.
  • Teamwork and attention to detail.
  • Valid Driver's License (AU Driver Policy Requirements).
  • Access Control/Badge Experience.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Customer service experience.
  • +1 years of security experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Meets basic qualifications for Custom Protection Officer.

$25.00 / Hour

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6AM-2PM
