About the Role
Allied Universal® is hiring a Site Supervisor to oversee the professional operation, administration, profitability, and quality assurance of uniformed security services for a client’s site. This role ensures a safe and secure environment for visitors and employees while managing a team of security personnel.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the security function on-site, including staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for Allied Universal® personnel.
- Ensure contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel are met.
- Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement designated by AUS.
- Inspect security personnel and their job performance regularly to ensure quality of service and contract compliance.
- Perform operations and related functions such as payroll, incident report review, and preparation of security surveys and post orders.
- Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under direct supervision.
- Respond to client requests and make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
- Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding their duties.
- Make decisions on disciplinary actions or commendations for security personnel.
- Make productivity and cost-reduction recommendations to management.
- Recommend physical security surveys and post orders.
- Hiring and training: Interview, hire, and train security staff, including new hires and current staff on topics such as workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures, and safety and security.
- Scheduling: Oversee daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff.
- Performance monitoring: Conduct daily briefings and accompany guards on patrols to assess performance and adherence to security rules.
- Incident response: Respond to incidents, monitor CCTV and security systems, and perform regular patrols to identify potential breaches.
- Liaison: Work with on-site managers and staff to provide advice and receive feedback.
- Establish and carry out policies and procedures required by the organization.
- Record keeping: Document all security-related instances at the place of employment.
- Training programs: Collaborate with security managers to create and deliver training programs for security guards.
- Continuous training: Provide ongoing training for current equipment or new technology.
Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing.
- Must be able to pass a state licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle.
- Must possess one or more of the following:
- Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard.
- Service in Auxiliary Police or Police Cadets.
- Minimum of one year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in a security-related industry.
- Associate's degree or higher in any discipline.
- Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years if armed).
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.

- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately.

Preferred Qualifications
- Meets basic qualifications for Custom Protection Officer.

- Security Experience: 6+ months (C112).
- Supervisory Experience (C136).
- Access Control/Badge Experience (B201).
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet (B204).
- CPR Certification (B205).
- Customer Service Experience (B219).
Pay
$17.68 per hour.
Schedule
6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
