Security Patrol - Hersheypark Camping Resort

Job Summary

Join the team at Hersheypark Camping Resort, a campground located near Hersheypark amusement park. The Security Patrol role involves maintaining safety and security across all HE&R venues, conducting patrols, responding to alarms, and managing security personnel and equipment.

Job Functions

• Provide a safe and friendly atmosphere to guests and team members
• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with other departments and support teams
• Conduct regular patrols and safety checks of HE&R venues
• Respond to alarms, emergency calls, or other calls for assistance
• Assess, investigate, resolve, and contain situations while taking appropriate actions based on company policy and procedures
• Monitor guest behavior for compliance with event and venue policies
• Communicate regularly with Security Management regarding training and operational issues
• Create timely, thorough, and accurate incident reports through the incident documentation process

Basic Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age on the date of applying
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Minimum of at least three (3) years of experience working in the Safety & Security Department (professional experience may be considered in lieu of departmental experience)
• Post-employment: Must obtain RAMP Certification

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Criminal justice/safety/security-related training and experience preferred
• Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other team members and be able to interact with guests
• Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times
• Must be detail-oriented and have clear verbal and written communication skills
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally, including delivering safety instructions/directions, verbal cues, and speaking clearly into microphones and radios
• Must be able to remain alert and vigilant at all times
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications, including Excel and Word
• Must display a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and walk unassisted (for up to eight hours at a time)
• Able to bend at the waist and knees
• Able to have repeated manual dexterity
• Able to raise the leg 37 inches
• Able to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level
• Able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance

Job Demands

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather
• Physical requirements would include ability to stand and walk unassisted (for up to eight hours at a time), bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, the ability to raise the leg 37 inches, the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level, and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance
