About the role

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional for a Dispatch Position in Normal, IL. Must be able to work weekends and any shift. Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour.

Responsibilities

  • Heavy Customer Service Background - highly motivated people dedicated to outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain monitoring of all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems via provided monitoring systems.
  • Respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones, 2-way radios, and intercoms.
  • Accurately document routine and unusual events.
  • Make emergency notifications as required.
  • Maintain strict adherence to policies, procedures, standards, etc.
  • Monitor and respond to all security/life safety system alarms.
  • Communicate effectively during emergencies and non-emergency calls.
  • Act as liaison between all departments and the security department.
  • Handle complaints and unusual/critical event information as directed.

Requirements

  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more of the following: Service in Military Branches / Police, Bachelor’s degree, 2 years of work experience in public sector dispatch or emergency operations center (PSAP, 911), 2 years of verifiable data entry experience.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency; Google Applications.
  • Ability to analyze high stress situations and dispatch appropriate teams.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency.
  • Ability to remain calm in the face of adversity.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills.
  • Flexible working schedule to include nights and weekends.
  • Ability to type 40+ words per minute accurately.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
