About the role
Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional for a Dispatch Position in Normal, IL. Must be able to work weekends and any shift. Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour.
Responsibilities
- Heavy Customer Service Background - highly motivated people dedicated to outstanding customer service.
- Maintain monitoring of all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems via provided monitoring systems.
- Respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones, 2-way radios, and intercoms.
- Accurately document routine and unusual events.
- Make emergency notifications as required.
- Maintain strict adherence to policies, procedures, standards, etc.
- Monitor and respond to all security/life safety system alarms.
- Communicate effectively during emergencies and non-emergency calls.
- Act as liaison between all departments and the security department.
- Handle complaints and unusual/critical event information as directed.
Requirements
- Must be 21+ years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more of the following: Service in Military Branches / Police, Bachelor’s degree, 2 years of work experience in public sector dispatch or emergency operations center (PSAP, 911), 2 years of verifiable data entry experience.
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency; Google Applications.
- Ability to analyze high stress situations and dispatch appropriate teams.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency.
- Ability to remain calm in the face of adversity.
- Organized with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills.
- Flexible working schedule to include nights and weekends.
- Ability to type 40+ words per minute accurately.
Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
