Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed conditions and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to control access, assist with directions, and support orderly movement of patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Support nursing staff, administration, and emergency personnel during medical-related events, visitor issues, and/or other situations requiring a visible security-related presence.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.

DayTime Monday: 06:00 AM - 01:00 PM Friday: 06:00 AM - 01:00 PM Saturday: 06:00 AM - 01:00 PM Sunday: 06:00 AM - 01:00 PM
