Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Role

About the role

Join Allied Universal in a healthcare location as an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Huntington Park, CA. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, allowing you to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with badge checks, direction-giving, and/or reporting concerns involving patients, staff, and visitors.
• Support a professional environment by communicating with site contacts, following post orders, and/or reporting maintenance, hazard, or policy-related issues to the appropriate team.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Pay

$22.32 / hour

Schedule

• Monday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
