Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Role

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support site rules, assist with directional information, and document security-related events, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Complete routine logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant updates with Allied Universal leadership and/or designated site representatives.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
