About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and report security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and assist with visitor screening and traffic flow.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in required reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.
Requirements
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$21.05 / hour
Schedule
- Full Time
- Day shift: Monday–Friday, 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM
