Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Relations

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, employee entrances, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor vehicle, visitor, and employee access points; document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions in accordance with site requirements.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity and support the orderly movement of people and vehicles throughout the location.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

$15.24 / hour
