Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Service

In this full‑time position as a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Service in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in commercial real estate and other industries, monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and other authorized personnel by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate logs of incidents, patrols, and facility‑related observations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds (preferred).
• Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Guard card or license (preferred).
• Access control or badge experience (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$23.36 per hour.
