About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with tenants and visitors, and report security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization as required, and report unauthorized activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related observations.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Access control and badge experience.
Pay
$19.67 / hour
Schedule
- Monday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Thursday: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Saturday: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Sunday: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
