About the role
As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as technology, media, and telecommunications. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, production areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and security concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; document observations and complete incident reports according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
- Maintain a professional presence while communicating clearly with site personnel and responding to security-related requests in a timely manner.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Pay
$17.60 per hour.
Schedule
- Saturday: 03:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Sunday: 03:00 PM - 12:00 AM
