Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Ambassador

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Ambassador in Gardendale, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as healthcare. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support access control needs. Provide courteous customer service and clear communication to patients, visitors, and staff while using technology to document activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Customer service experience.

Pay

$12.48 / hour
