About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Baton Rouge, LA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, offices, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly using required reporting tools.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
CPR certification is preferred.
