Security Officer Unarmed Part Time Site Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Sunnyvale, CA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule built through our Claim a Shift platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within an industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, loading zones, parking areas, and perimeter points to deter unauthorized access and identify potential hazards or maintenance issues.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as required by site policies, and support visitor and/or vehicle screening processes for authorized access.
- Assist with enforcing location rules related to restricted areas, after-hours access, and incident reporting while maintaining a professional presence throughout the facility.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
Note: This site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
Pay
$28.05 per hour.

- Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
