Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Site Patrol

About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. You can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, and use computer or tablet technology as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, process areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and vehicle activity, and reporting access-control concerns in accordance with site policies.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and communications with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$16.96 / hour
Schedule
- Tuesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
