Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Site Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution location, including warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, damaged property, access concerns, and other security-related incidents to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and complete accurate activity and incident reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
