About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Buffalo, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
- Observe and report unusual activity, property conditions, and potential hazards to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Assist with access control, visitor direction, and traffic flow while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
