About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Education. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This driving position requires strong communication and customer service while responding to security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Requirements
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
