As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Abilene, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as retail and malls. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. The role requires exceptional customer service, professional communication, and responding to security‑related concerns with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents, hazards, and unusual conditions in accordance with site procedures.
- Assist with directions, lost‑property inquiries, and other customer service needs while maintaining a professional presence in a retail and mall environment.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay
$15.00 per hour.

Daytime shifts:
- Monday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
