As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate with visitors and team members, use technology to document observations, and respond professionally to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify authorized access in accordance with site policies; and assist with visitor directions and inquiries.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Qualifications

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
