As a Security Officer Front Desk Full Time in Charlottesville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor alarm panels, and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide a professional first point of contact for employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused office location.
• Manage front-desk access procedures by greeting visitors, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor records in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Monitor incoming calls, alarms, cameras, and/or access-control notifications, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, customer-focused, problem-solving manner while following established emergency response procedures.
• Support security-related administrative duties, including maintaining logs, receiving deliveries, directing guests, and communicating site information to authorized personnel.

Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$22.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday through Thursday: 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM (overnight shift)
