Security Officer Unarmed Driver Site Inspection

About the role

As a Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for people, property, and operations. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers opportunities to provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
