Job Description

As a Security Officer Security Screening Associate in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, conduct screening activities, and support access management while remaining visible to help reduce security-related concerns.

What You'll Do

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at the location.
Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and security-related policies.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized or unusual activity to site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
