Job Description
As a Security Officer Screening Analyst in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in various industries such as Logistics & Distribution. At a busy logistics and distribution location, you will assist in monitoring entry points, screening personnel, and supporting site operations through strong customer service and communication.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and responding to emergencies.
- Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location according to post orders and established screening requirements.
- Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or policy concerns calmly and problem-solve, reporting details through appropriate channels.
- Maintain surveillance of assigned entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipment documentation, and deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, adapting to varying work environments and conditions.
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
