About the role

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

Responsibilities

  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation
  • Frequent interactions with client employees and guests
  • Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity
  • Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed
  • Front desk / access control duties such as creating badges for visitors and answering phones
  • Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests
  • Utilizing technology devices throughout shift
  • Conduct tours of the property
  • Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Above average computer / technology skills needed
  • Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus
  • Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
  • Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift
  • Must have a professional demeanor
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
  • Must be able to perform foot / mobile patrols
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
