Security Officer - Third Shift

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Response in Sheridan, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions related to access points, equipment areas, and restricted locations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and support access control procedures for personnel, vendors, and/or visitors entering the location.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel, first responders, and/or Allied Universal teams regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters that may affect daily operations.

Requirements

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess 4+ years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 for unarmed roles, 21+ for armed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have 4+ years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• Must have CPR certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.
