Security Officer - Third Shift

About the role

As a Security Officer Security Screening Associate in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at the location.
• Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and security-related policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized or unusual activity to site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
