$18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, waiting areas, boarding points, adjacent public spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and pedestrian flow, assist with directions and general information, and help to enforce site rules related to restricted areas, prohibited items, and orderly entry and exit.
• Observe and report maintenance issues, suspicious behavior, unattended property, and/or policy violations, while supporting crowd management during peak travel periods, service interruptions, and special events.

Minimum Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
