Security Officer Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and/or property personnel regarding site expectations.
• Support property operations by preparing routine reports, noting maintenance or life-related concerns, and following post orders for assigned locations and shifts.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
