Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help control access, observe visitor activity, and provide directions or assistance as needed.
- Support loss prevention and property protection efforts by reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance issues observed during patrols and routine post duties.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
