Security Officer Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Sherman Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and sharing information with property management and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, stairwells, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report suspicious behavior, property damage, lighting issues, and/or unsecured doors to the appropriate contacts.
• Support daily operations by completing activity reports, maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and following Allied Universal standards and post orders.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
