Security Officer Screener
About the role
As a Security Officer Screener in Kenner, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with established procedures and reporting guidelines.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, delivery documentation, and/or visitor authorization to help support authorized entry and movement throughout the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, policy violations, and/or other security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include:
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
