Security Officer School Patrol Driver

About the role

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Officer to support an educational arts environment in Santa Ana, CA. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide welcoming customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver's license.

Schedule

• Position Type: Full Time / Mix Shift
• Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour
• DayTime Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency services as needed
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report suspicious conditions, hazards, or policy concerns to appropriate personnel
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site procedures

Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
