About the role

As a Full Time Patrol Driver Security Officer in Stony Brook, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Education. Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. Provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and other security-related incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while maintaining a professional presence in an educational environment.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$17.34 per hour.

Schedule

• Daytime shift: Monday through Friday, 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM.
