About the role
As an unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors through professional communication and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or families by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established school and Allied Universal protocols.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report access-control concerns to designated personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to school administration and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
Starting pay is $21.04 per hour.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Full-time position
