Security Officer PT Unarmed Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout utility-related facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may need attention.
• Monitor access points and help to verify entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and/or vendors in accordance with location protocols.
• Support routine operations by reporting maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.

Requirements

• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses and certifications: Subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of security procedures and location-specific policies.
